Platinum Jubilee Celebration Recitals

CELEBRATORY CONCERT No. 1: Saturday 4 June at 12 noon:

Trevor Workman will give a Carillon Recital on Saturday 04 June 2022 at 12 noon in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The programme will contain popular music for Royal occasions and Coronations including:

• Coronation Anthem 'Zadok the Priest' George Frideric Handel;

• The March 'Crown Imperial' William Walton;

• The anthem 'I was glad when they said unto me' Charles Hubert Parry

• 'All people that on earth do dwell' - the Old 100th Ralph Vaughan Williams

• 'Trumpet Voluntary' Jeremiah Clark

• Excerpts from 'Water Music Suite No. 1 in F Major, HWV 348 - George Frideric Handel

• 'Music for the Royal Fireworks' George Frideric Handel

CELEBRATORY CONCERT No. 2: SATURDAY 16 July at 3:00 pm:

A second major celebratory concert is planned and this will involve the carillon and other soloists, instruments and video transmission.

Planning is currently in progress Details will be confirmed and published on this web site, on Social Media and at the Carillon Visitor Centre in due course.
