Celebrating Wales - Saturday 5 March at 3pm

A programme of music to commemorate St. David - Patron Saint of Wales is to be played on the Carillon at 03:00 pm on Saturday 05 March 2022.

With Wales being known as the 'Land of Song', it is not difficult to select a programme of well known music depicting Wales including famous hymn tunes and National airs.

Ironically, Wales is the only country in the British Isles to not have a Carillon. Maybe this will be remedied at some time in the future and perhaps this event in Bournville will be a stimulus to starting a process leading to a carillon project in one of the many prestigious and entirely appropriate locations in Wales. The 'Land of Song' should surely boast a 'Singing Tower'?
